LONDON BABY!!!

That's right, we're going to London this spring break. We're gonna take goofy pictures next to the soldiers, see the queen and mind the gap all in a week's time. i'm so stoked, dude. Yeah...

(senioritis is actually real... mm.. never knew it could happen twice)

Thursday 27 January 2005

Just finished the last one in the City today. To be honest, i could have done better, but who knows, if God wants me here, then i'll be accepted. At any rate, I need to be happy with the fact that i'm now done with interviews and play. Ideally in a year I'll still be in the Bay Area, just across the Bay but only God knows where I'll end up. Ball's in your court. I've done my part.

Friday 14 January 2005

so i tried the new pastrami burger from carl's jr. it's not bad. but i do prefer all pastrami and was kind of disappointed that it didn't come with cheese (you need to ask for it).
but the whole time i was eating the burger and fries, i kept thinking about super size me. how sad.

Monday 10 January 2005

mm.. last week of break.
i think a lot of people have gained perspective since christmas. there's no need to be sad or afraid, knowing that we live in a universe created by a sovereign God. A just God and a loving God all in the same being. Where does all this hope and love in the world community come from. Deep down inside, we all know that we're creatures of this sovereign, all powerful God. And everything that has happened is a testament to that. It's impossible to ask why could such tragedy and such joy come forth from among us. The only thing to do is just rely and trust the Creator who set all of this in motion. We may not see the rhyme and reason to everything that happens, but we're just like hamsters running on a wheel trying to get out. Only the One beyond this life and this world knows. Only Jesus Christ and the power of his death and resurrection can give us purpose and life beyond what we can imagine. In hard times and good times, God is the wellspring of life. It's something that i forget a lot, but He's there.

Wednesday 5 January 2005

these aren't new years resolutions, just stuff i need to do.
laugh more
cry less
go to pharmacy school
apply the things i've learned in service, sunday school, devotions
sing more
be more secure: in my relationships, in my relationship with Christ
LOVE GOD MORE
find joy in everything...
be more giving
be less selfish
cherish the friendships i have now
party, because i can. :P
graduate
teach my 31 year old male cousin how to bake a cheesecake
watch harold and kumar
play piano more
learn how to share the Gospel in mandarin
backpack through Europe
not be so anal, neurotic and control-freakish
Make God the center of my universe instead of me or any person
not to be codependent
be regular
figure out what i'm going to wear to sean and emily's wedding
cherish my parents while they're still here

Here's my New Year's resolution: to read the Bible by the end of the year. I've never done that and i've been told that you really see God working and God's patience through the apostasy and redemption of the nation of Israel.
